Aromas of pine and tropical fruit continue through into the flavour, with emerging creamy malt giving balance, resulting in a hoppy, citrus bitterness in the finish.
Founded in 2005, Maui Brewing Company is Hawaii’s largest craft brewery, also running pubs in Kahana (Maui) and Waikiki (Oahu). Its beers are currently available in more than 20 US states and 10 countries worldwide, with more areas to follow.
The brewery won a gold medal for its Imperial Coconut Porter at the Great American Beer Festival, in 2016.
Jesse Houck is the director of brewing operations at Maui Brewing Company and holds a diploma in brewing and malting science from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, through UC Davis in California.
Jesse has been brewing professionally for 15 years, having previously worked at Golden Road Brewing and 21st Amendment, in California.
