All 10 of our Cornish pubs offer a warm Kernow a’gas dynergh (welcome to Cornwall), as well as a selection of regional food and drinks, on their separate Cornish menu, proudly supporting local Cornish producers.
Synonymous with the county, our pubs serve Proper Cornish hand-crimped British beef & potato pasties, as well as cheese & onion pasties, made with Cornish Davidstow cheese, both from the Proper Cornish Food Company, based in Bodmin. Our British beef & Doom Bar ale pie is made using Cornish-brewed Doom Bar ale, from Sharp’s Brewery, in Rock – also available as a pint, not just in a pie, at the bar!
Davidstow Creamery, in Camelford, supplies the cheese for your beef burger (served with Cornish cheese), as well as an ingredient within our vegetable burger. The mature Cheddar cheese (meticulously crafted for over 60 years) for our Cornish ploughman’s sandwich and Cornish ploughman’s plate is also from this supplier. Seafood and Eat It, in Newlyn East, supplies our hand-picked white crab meat – a real Cornish favourite classic for our crab sandwich and crab salad.
For those with a sweet tooth, Redruth-based Rodda’s Creamery makes the clotted cream for your Cornish cream tea, while Roskilly’s of Helston provides the ice cream for our Cornish sundae – or new ‘three scoops’ dessert. Redruth-based Furniss biscuits, baking biscuits since 1886, and local Cornish Roskilly’s fudge are also available. At the bar, as well as a variety of guest ales and ciders brewed across the county, we proudly offer Truro-based Healeys Cornish ciders and Cornish juices, as well as curio cardamom vodka, rock samphire gin and cocoa nib vodka, made in Trenance, Mullion.
Among the breweries regularly showcased are Tintagel-based Tintagel Brewery, Harbour Brewing Co (in Bodmin) and Truro-based Skinners Brewery, as well as Sharp’s, in Rock. Tarquin’s dry gin is also available, a handcrafted small-batch gin from the north coast of Cornwall, served with a pink grapefruit slice. Wetherspoon offers a real taste of Cornwall at our Cornish pubs.
